Branch No. 6 In 1700 three brothers came from Ireland and landed in N. Carolina. Two of the brothers were John and James. I do not know the name of the other one. Latta of Crystal City, Texas, said that Thomas was at a neighbor's house one night with his wife. It commenced to snow and he started for home, lost his way, sat down by a tree and froze to death. I have heard my father say that Thomas fought under General Jackson at the Battle of New Orleans January 8, 1815. They moved to Hickman Co, Ky. about 1829. All children born in Maury Co., Tenn.
