We have a
topographic map of Crow Creek Forest
Reserve, Albany County, WY, prepared by a
detachment of the 3rd Btn of Engineers 21
June to 21 July, 1906 for use during the
1906 maneuvers. The name LATTA
appears several times on this map
(indicating land owners?-ed.). We would
appreciate any additional info on the
origin/purpose of this map, and the LATTA
family(ies) involved. |

SWEENEY WILKERSON WILKINSON |
Sarah LATTA
was born in Michigan in Feb. 1871. In 1886
she married William Marshall WILKINSON.
Except for about 10 years in Nashville,
they lived in Jackson County, Alabama. They
had seven children, most notably George W.
WILKINSON of the early Grand Ole Opry group
known as "The Fruit Jar Drinkers." In
1901-02 while Sarah and William lived in
Nashville, they resided on New York Avenue
with William (L. or M.) LATTA and his wife
Rhoda Jane SWEENEY. According to the 1900
census this William was born in Michigan
and his father was born in "Fran. Canada",
assumed to be Frankford, Canada. Any info
on Sarah LATTA or William LATTA of
Nashville would be appreciated. (See page 4
of Issue 4 and Note N to the branched.-
